Caniff Liberty Academy has been recognized as one of the top elementary and middle schools in the United States by U.S. News and World Report, the leading publication in education rankings.
For over thirty years, the American media company has been widely known for its annual lists of rankings of schools, colleges and universities, serving as a valuable resource and reference for parents and students when choosing schools. According to the report, schools are ranked based on publicly available information such as state-required test performance, overall graduation rates and how well they prepare their students for high school.
State assessments data was crucial for determining the ranking of elementary and middle schools. The ranking methodology depended on a school's proficiency in the core subjects of mathematics and reading/language arts while also accounting for factors such as student backgrounds and overall achievement in these subjects. Ultimately, ties between schools were broken by accounting for student-teacher ratios.
According to the official report, Caniff Academy’s elementary and middle school proficiency for both core subjects ranks “well above expectations”. Additionally, the student to teacher ratio is the same as the overall district, twenty-two students to every one teacher.
This exemplary acknowledgement reflects Caniff Liberty Academy’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, masterful preparation of their students for their high school years and a strong dedication to creating a safe and diverse learning environment for all of its students.
Congratulations to the students, families, staff and faculty of Caniff Liberty Academy on this amazing achievement!
